Welcome and thank you for visiting the djh Interiors web site.
djh Interiors is based at Battlesbridge Antiques Centre in Essex. I started the company after many years of creating unique furniture for myself, friends and family. I source all the furniture myself (mainly at antique furniture auctions) and create the finished pieces in my workshop/showroom. The end result is a truly individual piece that your friends will love and best of all is truly unique. As well as having a great item for your home you can also find reassurance in the fact that you are doing your bit to re-use instead of buy new, at djh Interiors all the furniture and many of the accessories are up-cycled items, I also use eco friendly paints and waxes
I work hard at djh Interiors to source good quality practical pieces of furniture for any room in the house, I refinish, hand paint, restore and revitalise a wide range of interesting wooden furniture from nearly new pine dressers to 70’s retro and beyond. I only choose furniture which has something special about it to begin with such as its usefulness or a unique or interesting detail.
I believe that interesting pieces of furniture can be found in forgotten corners of your home and with a little imagination these can be turned into truly unique individual pieces just for you. Often we have items in our homes that do not fit with the décor, this may be because they are heir looms or have sentimental value, why not ask us to up-cycle, and give them a whole new lease of life.
Please look at my gallery to soak up my style, I mainly go for the French country look of distressed or weathered furniture, this is more commonly known as “shabby Chic”. This style is really effective for creating the Vintage/Modern look. However I do also like to push the boundary if the piece is leading me that way so you will often find extreme distressing, gold guild, heavily aged wax, funky wallpapers and stencil work.
Enjoy the website.
